Design Your Own Snooker Shrine

Every year snooker fans from all over the world descend on the City of Sheffield to what is frequently referred to as ‘The Shrine of Snooker’, the one and only Crucible Theatre.

With the big event now upon us it is time once again for blog readers to get busy and design their very own Snooker Shrine to show to the watching world.

Last year produced some amazing and not so amazing but equally as entertaining results when I asked readers to illustrate what the World Championship means to them. You can view the gallery from last year by clicking here. The previous year was all about ‘pimping’ the drawsheet for the main event and the results to that can be seen here. This is the kind of standard that you must match with this year’s brief.

So, the task is this ‘Create Your Own Shrine To Snooker’, take a picture of it and either email me with it at [email protected] or Tweet me the picture with the hashtag #mysnookershrine.

To start you all off Mrs Snookerbacker has been busy creating her version of the BBC studio in the Winter Gardens, complete with Hazel, Nugget and JP. I am sure you will agree that this is worthy of a place in this year’s Gallery.

Get busy people, last year’s contest unearthed Zara, who ended up doing some superb pictures for the Snookerbacker Classic, who knows where your handiwork could lead??

Ian Smith's shrine. He is obviously a fan of the Chinese events as this crowd are all sitting at the top.

Stuart's Shrine: 'Sheep, an often forgotten part of the Crucible set up' he laments and who can disagree with that or with the plethora of snooker literature on which the creature stands?

Bingo

Snookerbingo’s Shrine – he clearly has too much time and Lego on his hands.

Shamoon's Shrine: '2 telly's for both tables, the almanac, voice tablets for shouting WHERE'S THE CUEBALL GOING and SB blog'. Yes, the BBC man has it covered.
