SB Classic: Draw for Gloucester Events this weekend

Filed under: snookerbacker @ 11:31 am

SB 2014 poster2Sunday will see the draw for the first two Snookerbacker Classic qualifiers at the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th of September.

It also sees the start of the new Snookerbacker Order of Merit List, where players competing accumulate points for frames won in all events they have entered. The top two on the list at the end of the qualifiers who have not qualified for Grand Finals Day already will automatically join the 14 other qualifiers for the big day in March when the £6000 worth of prize money will be played for and the third SB Classic Champion is crowned.

Players should take the time to view the full terms and conditions to which they are agreeing by entering by clicking this link where you can also view the details about the new Order of Merit list, format, prizes and dress code.

Remember you can still have a bet on the 2014 SB Classic champion over at Apollobet here. The current joint favourites are Adam Wicheard, who reached the Quarter Final last year and who competes in the first two events and Oliver Lines, a semi-finalist last year who holds the highest ever SB Classic break of 142, Oli doesn’t compete in the openers.

Here is a list of those competing in Events 1 and 2.

Saturday 28th September – EVENT 1

Sunday 29th September – EVENT 2

The two qualifiers from Saturday will be replaced in the draw by Matt Lancaster (winner of top half on Saturday) and Jack Bradford (winner of bottom half on Saturday).

The draws will be filmed and will be shown on here at a time to be confirmed on Sunday. Once the draw is decided, match times will be announced very shortly afterwards.

By the way for those of a nervous disposition, the draws may have hens involved, probably not real ones, well, definitely not real ones as we have a greyhound who may think it’s her lunch.

Oh yes, one more thing, it’s completely free to come along and watch these events so if you fancy coming along and watching top amateur snooker at the best venues with great company then please feel free.

Remember the hashtag that pays on Twitter this season is #sbc14.

Once again, a hearty thanks to the SB Classic family of sponsors, SightRight UK, John Parrott Cuesports, Lake Creative Design, The Capital Venue and My Snooker Stats. Their generosity in supporting the event is greatly appreciated.
