Sky Shootout Weekend

Regulars will know that I’m not a fan of the Shootout, I thought the first year was OK but last year left me feeling a little bored after the first few matches. I’m not going to bother with it this time around given that the shotclock has now been reduced to slapstick levels.

Anyway, we’re off to Leeds on Sunday for the next heat of the Snookerbacker Classic so I have the perfect excuse to ignore it. As with most of the firms Apollobet have extensive prices on the outrights and the matches here. It’s entirely up to you which very grateful bookmaker you decide to make your annual donation to.

I watched a bit on Friday’s 1st round and soon enough turned the sound off. The crowds have sung like in a football stadium and the beebs of the shot clock made me nervously. Some matches were tight and easy to watch. A “highlight” was the 31:6 between Dale and Ebdon wich seemes to consume the 10 minutes almost entirely for safety battle. Yesterday I didn’t bother to watch and I’m not sure about today. Maybe I will give it a try and let it increase my anticipation to Berlin.

Ive had to vent my feelings somewhere to fellow snooker lovers…. wtf is happening… Shoot out snooker is the absolute pits…. I have avoided it in the past but a stinking cold is killing me and flicked through the channels to catch a glimpse of Gould v Joyce …. Where do they roll this crowd out from if they ever creep through the red door at the crucible thats me finished with the game!!!!!

Anyway ive had a bet on Selby at 4/6-4/7 v Bond and turned the tv on mute!!!!!
