Polish EPTC Day 2

Filed under: snookerbacker @ 6:51 am

Phwooooaaarrrr

We now move into the last 16 of the Polish Players Tour Championship from the beaches of Gdynia and it looks like a decent set up they have going over there, despite the fact that oddly the two outside tables face in a different direction to the match table, must be a Polish thing.

The coverage yesterday from Eurosport was very comprehensive and no fewer than five matches were shown on the box in their entirety, which is better than we get with a full ranker most of the time so that has to be applauded, even if they do make way for highlights of the 2010 Estonian Midget Donkey Racing Trials when the final’s on.

At time of writing it is a little unclear when some of the matches are going to be played today as there does not appear to be any times showing for some of them anywhere.

This doesn’t really help where betting is concerned and may switch some of the firms off if they don’t have a definite time that a match is going to start to set their systems accordingly. It’s not like it was a particularly late finish last night so World Snooker should really have got this sorted by now really.

Interestingly, the name of Betfair is also blanked out from sight in this despite them being the sponsors, this is because of advertising laws in Poland which restricts the promotion of that terrible vice of gambling, something which of course this blog would never dream of doing.

In terms of betting yesterday, the now customary 75% rate transpired again as three from the four recommended singles won and Big Dave Harold let the 9/1 acca down by losing to Jimmy, who now faces Liang Wenbo, another TV winner yesterday. All the outright selections remain in the hunt too.

It’s difficult to find a bet today but it might be worth going with value to smaller stakes on the prices below, there are more comprehensive match prices at Apollobet with correct scores, handicaps and extended handicaps available on all matches. They can be found here and you can open an account and receive a free matched bet up to £20 by clicking here.

Recommended Bets: 3 x 1 point singles Perry at 6/4 generally, Gould at 2/1 with Stan James and Pengfei at 7/4 with Stan James.
