SB Classic Latest: New Date for Dublin Leg
After having a chat with Fin Ruanne from the Crossguns we have decided to move the Dublin leg of the Snookerbacker Classic back a week to Saturday 4th February.
The reason for this is that having already shifted the date once, a tournament has since been announced on the Irish snooker calendar which I know ties up a number of players that might otherwise have entered.
A reminder that the two qualifiers from Dublin will progress onto the Finals Day in Gloucester on the 24th February. As the expenses for the two flying over from Ireland is likely to be higher than the other qualifiers I have also arranged for free accommodation for the two Dublin qualifiers for the night of 23rd February, just over the road from the South West Snooker Academy.
Remember that at all qualifying events there is a £/Euro 1 per point highest break prize courtesy of Amarya.co.uk
If anyone would like to enter the Dublin event please contact me at snookerbacker@hotmail.co.uk to reserve a place or pay directly using the Paypal button on the sidebar of the blog. You do not need a Paypal account to do this and forwarding this payment will secure your place. There will be no entries taken on the day of the event and all entry fees must be paid in advance and places are limited to 16 players.
Remember that 2 qualifiers from Gloucester, Essex and Dublin will join Leeds qualifiers Allan Taylor and Jamie Barrett on Finals Day where the 1st round losers will receive £100, the semi-final losers will receive £150 and the finalists will both be entered into the Q-School, with the winner picking up the trophy and a further four PTC entries. You can view all the terms and conditions of the event here.
Gloucester is now full and you can view the draw here. The starting times will be published in the next week. If anyone would like to book practice time at the SWSA for 28th or 29th of January please let me know, the rate will be £8 per hour and this must be booked in advance. There will be practice tables available during the qualifying day on the 30th for all competing players still in the event, these will be free of charge.
There are a few places left in the Essex event, you will need to either contact me or enter using the Paypal button to reserve or secure your place in the final qualifying event of the tournament this year.
