German Masters Qualifying Day Three

A German Girl to brighten up a cold day

Good Morning All. Day Three gets under way today at 10am and I’m just going to scurry off to try and find a bet. I’ve decided not to give up on this as I managed to at last get a couple of winners last night and I detect a slight return to form!

Dave Harold, Jamie Jones and Robert Milkins all managed to win and recoup some of the previous day’s losses. If I find anything in the next half an hour I might even recommend a bet. But be warned, this isn’t a tournament that I have given the attention that I would have done had it been held at a more convenient time for a single man blogger.

Scurries away and returns breathless with excitement..

Right, I have managed to find a bet.

I’m going to trust the young up and comers this morning and a man in form this afternoon and recommend a 3 point treble on Jack Lisowski, Anthony McGill and Mark Joyce (pays a shade over 11/4 at Paddy Power).  All have winnable matches and the price on Joyce in particular is appealing to big single bet punters given his current form.

There are a few lively odds against shots today too, Adam Wicheard can be backed at as high as 9/4 with Skybet against the inconsistent Anthony Hamilton. Liu Song, Jimmy Robertson and Simon Bedford must also have chances in their matches and I might do a few cross doubles with these four, just for fun.

Good Luck if you’re having a bet.

33. Anthony Hamilton 5-1 Adam Wicheard
34. Thanawat Thirapongpaiboon 5-1 Alfie Burden
35. Mike Dunn 3-5 Jack Lisowski
36. Jamie Burnett 4-5 Liu Song
37. Kyren Wilson 2-5 Nigel Bond
38. Jimmy White 1-5 Jimmy Robertson

39. Tony Drago w/o Ian McCulloch
40. Simon Bedford 5-2 Andy Hicks
41. Jamie O’Neill 1-5 Anthony McGill
42. Xiao Guodong 3-5 Dominic Dale
43. Mark Joyce 3-5 Alan McManus 🙁

OK, the outsiders did OK today with three out of four but Joyce was beaten by Angles to ruin the treble. I would usually call it quits but I have to say I cannot believe that Matt Couch is such a generous price tonight against the Nugget. I have to recommend 2 points on him at the widely available 11/8. To try and recoup the huge losses the blog P&L has taken on this I will also recommend a 2 point treble on Couch, Gilbert and Swail which pays just on 11/2 at Sportingbet.

44. Matthew Selt 5 – 3 David Gilbert
45. Matt Couch  2 – 5  Steve Davis
46. Joe Delaney  2 – 5  Joe Swail
47. Dave Harold 5 – 2  Adrian Gunnell
48. Robert Milkins 5 – 3  Jamie Jones
