The Snooker Legends: The Return of the White Suit

Just Say No. Kirk's Back!

The Snooker Legends Tour took to the road last year and by all accounts was a great success and they have just announced 27 dates for 2011.

The main core of players have all been signed up again.  Jimmy White, Dennis Taylor, John Parrott, Cliff Thorburn, John Virgo and making sure all the little imps behave themselves, Michaela Tabb. Jimmy even made a maximum last year at one of the evenings, if I remember rightly I think he missed the pink to make two in one night.

They are kicking things off at Snooker’s Mecca, the Crucible on Saturday 9th April, one week before the big one gets under way and for this they will be joined by 80’s Canadian Pin-up boy Kirk Stevens!

Our Kirk will also be joining them in May at Belfast and County Kildare.

Now Kirk will be remembered for a number of things, the Masters 147, the white suit, the white stuff and for just being an all round character.  He has not played in the UK in many years but remains one of our favourites from the golden era of the 1980s. The great man continues to play snooker in Canada and has recovered from alcohol and substance abuse. But I believe he is yet to recover from an addiction to dodgy suits.
