Back to the Baize: PTC5 Day 1

The Match Arena at the SWSA

It’s Day One at the PTC5 today with the usual constant stream of matches. Fingers crossed that the new improved World Snooker scoreboard is up to the job.

After what was both a hectic and farcical day off the baize yesterday we can now concentrate on the action on it.

Just one little snippit of news came through later on yesterday that the EPTC4 which was due to take place in Germany between October 28-31 will now be held at the South West Snooker Academy In Gloucester.

While this is sad news for German fans, Paul Mount has done a tremendous job getting the SWSA up and running and there is even talk of live streaming for this event which will delight snooker fans. A recent experiment in live streaming from there proved successful so hopefully this will come to fruition.

You can find out more about the SWSA here.

I’m not around this morning, but if Onestep or anyone else would like to keep track of the scores then please feel free to update the comments section below.

See you later!

P.S. The blog seems to have a few gremlins at the moment so if this post looks a little out of kilter, that’s the reason.
