EGM Support: Dunn and Dusted?

Filed under: snookerbacker @ 9:59 am

Following the news that Ali Carter has withdrawn his support for the EGM with the WPBSA, another one of the signatories has also now been in touch with the WPBSA to remove their name from the list of supporters.

Mike Dunn has requested that his name also be removed and has told this blog that:

“I want to move on and concentrate on being a player as being on the previous board has held me back for 7 years, due to lack of practice. I love the sport and want to be part of the new future”

It seems that any attempts that have been made to persuade the players to back these resolutions is now crumbling to dust.

With only a handful of names now backing the move, one feels it is highly unlikely to bring about any meaningful change.

Hopefully now we can all put this behind us and concentrate on the snooker and the future of the sport which, this episode aside is looking increasingly promising.
