Hokey Cokey Ronnie out of Shanghai for 'Personal Reasons'

Filed under: snookerbacker @ 10:22 am

Ronnie's led us a merry dance.

The confusion surrounding Ronnie’s participation next week in China is in the process of being cleared up as Dave Hendon informs us that ‘personal reasons’ are behind his decision to pull out.

So in terms of the specific reason we are left none the wiser.

World Snooker still haven’t confirmed this which has resulted in some bookmakers pulling Ronnie out only to put him in again, only to have to pull him out again. A state of utter confusion reigns over Snokbookieland.

So let’s get this straight, they’ve put Ron in, took Ron out, in, out, in, out – will they shake him all about?

O’Sullivan said: “This has been a very difficult decision to make, however I have a very young family and at this moment I need to spend more time with them. I’m truly sorry to my fans in China, I love meeting and playing in front of some of the most passionate people in the world. I very much look forward to returning to China soon.”

World Snooker Chairman Barry Hearn added: “It’s very disappointing for his fans in China but we understand the personal reasons behind Ronnie’s withdrawal.”
