Set your clocks it's the Bazza and Fred Show

Attention all students: You will need to get up before the crack of noon tomorrow.

Tomorrow at 10.45am the nation will be glued to betting shop screens all around the country as two old blokes reach into a bag and pull things out.

No, it’s not the new reality show ‘Colostomy Live’, it is the first round draw for this years world championships at the Crucible. Fred Done and Barry Hearn will be rattling the old balls around the bag and deciding the fate of each of this week’s plucky qualifiers.

Of the names below I’m sure most of the seeds will want to avoid the likes of Cope, Wenbo, Dott and a few others. While the unseeded players will be keeping everything crossed to draw perhaps a Joe Perry or a Mark King to give them a real chance of progressing.

Now, if it was fixed, which I’m not suggesting for one minute it is, either Zhang or Wenbo would play Ronnie or Ding. Doherty and the Nugget between them would play Higgins, Williams or Hendry and Cope would play King to set up a mouth watering tie with Higgins in round two.

But it isn’t fixed so that surely won’t happen.

Just a reminder of the names in the bag:

Top Half

John Higgins
Mark King
Neil Robertson
Marco Fu
Allister Carter
Joe Perry
Ding Junhui
Shaun Murphy

Bottom Half

Stephen Maguire
Peter Ebdon
Mark Allen
Ryan Day
Mark Selby
Stephen Hendry
Mark J Williams
Ronnie O’Sullivan

The genius behind the World Snooker scoreboard has also designed tomorrow's draw vessel. Very impressive I'm sure you'll agree.

The Qualifiers:
Marcus Campbell
Mark Davis
Steve Davis
Fergal O’Brien
Liang Wenbo
Martin Gould
Ken Doherty
Tom Ford
Barry Hawkins
Michael Holt
Anda Zhang
Gerard Greene
Stuart Pettman
Jamie Cope
Stephen Lee
Graeme Dott

I will endeavour to get the draw on here as quickly as possible.
